This workshop is ideal for the absolute beginner who is ready to start Yoga but perhaps a little bit nervous about heading into a class environment. Everything is taught step-by-step, making it easier for you to learn and experience the basic Yoga postures. You know you'll be in the right place to learn as everyone else will be a beginner too. This workshop is capped in numbers so you won't be lost during the session.
What to expect
Join us for a welcoming, step-by-step introduction to Yoga!
This is a supportive space for the absolute beginner to learn the basics and build confidence to start heading to classes. This particular workshop is always something very personal to me as I remember what it is like to be a complete beginner and not having a clue where to start.

You’ll be guided through the essential Yoga postures, strength & mobility movements and how to adapt postures to suit your body. We wind down with seated postures and a guided meditation/relaxtion to close each session.

Please note, though Yoga may look or seem 'easy' please understand this is a physical workshop. A guided relaxtion/meditation is for you to enjoy and relax at the end of the session.

See below for more details and what to bring so you feel fully prepared and comfortable for your Beginners Yoga Workshop.

Why is it important to learn the basics first?
Learning the fundamental yoga poses gives you a solid and confident foundation to build on. By understanding technique and alignment from the start, you reduce the risk of injury and create a safer, more enjoyable practice. Becoming familiar with these basics means you’ll feel more at ease in future classes, as many of the postures and sequences you’ll meet later are rooted in what we explore in this workshop. It’s the perfect place to begin.

Watch or try at home
I attended Nam's Beginners Yoga workshop as part of my commitment to improving my self care after my doctor recommended it. I was nervous at first, having not made much time for myself in a long while but from the moment I arrived I felt warmly welcomed and at ease. Nam explains every pose so clearly and the demonstrations really helped, she's very patient and clearly is passionate about Yoga!
