This workshop is ideal for the absolute beginner who is ready to start Yoga but perhaps a little bit nervous about heading into a class environment. Everything is taught step-by-step, making it easier for you to learn and experience the basic Yoga postures. You're in the right place to learn as everyone else will be a beginner too.
What to expect
Join us for a welcoming, step-by-step introduction to Yoga!
This is a supportive space for the absolute beginner to learn the basics and build confidence to start heading to classes. This particular workshop is always something very personal to me as I remember what it is like to be a complete beginner and not having a clue where to start.
You’ll be guided through the essential Yoga postures, strength & mobility movements and how to adapt postures to suit your body. We wind down with seated postures and a guided meditation/relaxtion to close each session.
Please note, though Yoga may look or seem 'easy' please understand this is a physical workshop. A guided relaxtion/meditation is for you to enjoy and relax at the end of the session.

Why is it important to learn the basics first?
Learning the fundamental yoga poses gives you a solid and confident foundation to build on. By understanding technique and alignment from the start, you reduce the risk of injury and create a safer, more enjoyable practice. Becoming familiar with these basics means you’ll feel more at ease in future classes, as many of the postures and sequences you’ll meet later are rooted in what we explore in this workshop. It’s the perfect place to begin.

Yoga mat & blocks are available for you to use for this workshop. You are more than welcome to bring your own.

Is this session suitable for me?
This session is open to adults aged 18+ and is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with experience of Yoga or relaxation practices.
You're encouraged to work at your own pace, listen to your body and take any variations or rest whenever needed.
Although yoga can sometimes look gentle, we will be moving for most of the session and there will be periods of getting down to and up from the floor. If you have any injuries, mobility concerns or health conditions, please get in touch before booking so we can chat about whether the session is right for you.
For safety reasons, this session is not suitable for those who are pregnant or for people with certain medical conditions, including epilepsy, pacemakers, heart conditions, or severe mental health conditions.

24-Hour Cancellation Notice: If you need to cancel your space on the course, please provide at least 24 hours' notice prior to the start time.

Non-Transferable Sessions: Because spaces for each course are strictly limited, it is not possible to transfer missed or individual sessions to another date, time or person.
